Good Morning Rottnest
I was lucky enough to get out to Rottnest early this morning. The water was perfect for boating but alas not for surfing, but we tried our luck at Strickland Bay where there was a tiny bit of swell.
(As we were leaving you could see the hordes of schoolies tearing over one after the other, let the games begin.)

Perfect Boating Weather
Good Morning

Swimmers at Port Beach
Just got back from my morning walk at Port Beach. It was gorgeous down there, but still pretty chilly, why I was really impressed by the swimmers, who didn’t seem to feel the cold. Tough cookies!
Waiting for Spring
It seems as if we still have to wait a while for milder weather – this evening temperatures at South Beach felt more like winter and I doubt much will have changed by tomorrow.
Sun Sun Sun
Ah finally a little bit of sunshine in our lives and it’s over the weekend. Now we can venture out without having to duck for cover before the heavens open up. Plus Sunday is going to be a balmy twenty one degrees, not bad at all.
Rain Rain Rain

The sun has taken off it’s hat and given it to a low pressure weather system that is going to hang around for quite a while. Now is the winter of our discontent made miserable by contious rain for a week. Gardeners rejoice.
Glorious Sunday
I meant to post this at the weekend but I misplaced my camera cable until today. I was down at Fishing Boat Harbour on Sunday meeting a few friends and it was just a glorious day. The water was a like a mirror and if you looked over the edge of the boardwalk you could see right to the bottom, the water was so clear. I loved that you could see everything around reflected in the water.

Fishing Boats and Their Reflections
How about this weather!
So I’m up in the tower in Fishing Boat Harbour, dutifully keeping an eye out on things. The rain is hitting the windows sideways at up to 80km/hour, the building is shaking, the sea is raging, but still I can see the Rottnest ferry is going out. Rottnest? Today? You’ve got to be kidding.
